  Personally I think it is at/past peak. Nose was a bit funky with mushroom, wet soil, iron, vintage leather, on the palate, it did gain more volume and structure with time and tannin was chewy (not tannic), but overall the wine did not impress me..

  Elegant, nuanced, silky and in a way Burgundian (not that I drink lots of Burgundy now - just elegant, silky and precise). Higher acidity than Sandrone Cannubi 2006, overall less in-your-face character, it was delicate. Actually it seemed fresher and even less ready to drink than Sandrone.

  Åter på mitt favorit hotell i Piemonte. Drack till och med samma vin som sist. Elio Grasso gör verkligen strålande viner. Besökte dem tidigare på dagen

  Jag älskar verkligen Elio Grassos viner. Framförallt många av de senare årgångarna har verkligen varit otroligt bra. Och denna Rüncot årgång 2000 är verkligen inte heller någon besvikelse.
  Blommig doft med rosor, violer, tobak, apelsinskal, aceton, tjära och början till mognadstoner.
  I smaken mogna röda körsbär, tobak, kaffe och en underbar syra att väga upp den mogna frukt. Väldigt bra vin!
