Deep garnet color. Floral and vanilla to nose. Medium body. Start of tart berry that leads to an earthy middle. Medium finish of black cherry and spice. Very good transitions. Decanted for hour before serving. Definite buy again. Good solid merlot
I tasted this wine after it was open for a few hours at room temp. In Appearance, this wine was clear and a medium+, maybe a deep, ruby with heavy legs. The Nose here was clean and of medium intensity and aromas of dark fruits, like black cherry, some sweet vanilla, and a bit of smoke and cedar. The Palate was dry and medium+ in body with fairly big alcohol levels at medium+, about medium- acidity and tannin, making it fairly full in the mouth, but very lush and soft. The flavor intensity was about medium with dark fruit again predominating, notes of plum and cherry, some mocha notes, toasty spice, and a touch of leather. The finish is about medium in length. Overall, for $17, this is a really good wine with great QPR. It is drinking now really well and won't hold for much longer, because it doesn't have that much acidity and tannin.
