  • Tasted blind. Earl grey tea, honey, nice acidity. Oxidized style, dark amber, but very good. Powerful rather than elegant.

  • A darkening of colour now, smells of marzipan and apricot marmelade, with some clearer notes of honney making their appearance later on. Very unctuous structure, bit with a great lift from the acidity. Fabulous with cheese.

  • A definite yum. Deep orange-gold color (quite a bit darker than I anticipated) but quite pleasing, with nose of canned peaches, fresh apricot, and honey, with a hint of diesel, and a touch of orange. Luscious, slightly viscous, off-dry, with a sweetness that is present, but not overpowering. Flavors follow the nose, with good, but not overpowering acidity. This wine was very well balanced. Clean botrytis evident in the honey flavors. This wine has a gold capsule, notes that it is an ILNA selection from the "VDP". AP # is43790430897. The wine perfectly matched a dinner of clay pot cooked whole chicken, garden salad, and polenta. My wife and I both enjoyed it alot. Jim
