Short note - very oakey, blackcurrant, dark berries, vanilla, liquorice, pepper, well balanced, concentration, quite complex. This should be kept longer, but this wasnt as good as the last bottle. Still outstanding, 93p drink now and next 10 years.

Cooling black, red, and blue fruit, surprisingly strong acidity after 10 minutes of decanting so it clearly needs some air time! After about an hour, blue fruit take the lead on the palate. The wine becomes very rich and filling, with a thick mouthfeel that retains much of the initial acidity. Things begin to smooth a bit after the first hour, but I like the balance of initial fruit, mid-palate acidity with silky tannins, and a long finish. Secondary aromas of cigar box and tobacco emerge at this point too. A delicious and complex wine that rewards patience, not quite a typical Syrah but a very enjoyable take on Syrah.

Very good fruit and showing tertiary characters of game, adding to the complexity. Soft fine tannins, nice acidity but this is primarily a fruit driven wine. Very nice indeed without being outstanding.

A beautiful wine. Blackberry, pepper, black currant. I had to drink it all.
