Tropical fruit notes with cinnamon and spices from the well integrated wood. An amazing feat to make a Chardonnay that is still going strong at age twelve. Great depth and texture. This one wasn’t nearly as big as the one I had last month. Good juice.

If this was an athlete, it would be Serena Williams. Broad shoulders and a Chardonnay loaded with power and depth. Tropical fruit is accented by strong oak and cinnamon notes. While is oak is very present at age eleven, it is nicely done. Even if it is more than I typically fancy. Aromatically pleasing. There is enough acidity to keep this wine going for another five to seven years. If you like big chards, this has to be near the top of the list.

Wow, amazing tropical fruit notes and a surprisingly lovely 30 second finish with wonderful complexity and depth. The minerality was nice, though the acidity was a bit lacking for all the depth thus offered. Paired beautifully with an Alaskan king crab. Last of the half case for us, and this was perhaps even nicer despite the slight lack of acidity. Yum.

2019 New Years Day Tasting (Milton, GA): Brighter banana yellow in color; butter, dense, poached pear, lemon, bananas foster, vanilla, lots of extraction and richness, subtle green herbs, yogurt; vanilla cream, a bit soft in acid given the huge scale of this; given those qualities this has to be domestic, I liked this more than others.
