  I agree with most prior comments. More tart then most WS wines, but still kind of savory. Surprisingly long finish and depth but not for everyone.

  Nose with tart red fruit, strawberry and plum, developed with some VA, not a whole lot of complexity. Plate has some cranberry/craisin component with a little stewed strawberry, fairly acidic, Tannin feels hard for 10 years out, get a little heat from the EtOH on the back end, better with food, probably at plateau and I dont see this bottle improving further, drink up.

  Decent nose, suspect palate. High acid but also hollow, and by the time we got to a second glass the remainders of the bottle had turned cloudy and oxidative.

  In a good spot. Didn’t notice the smoke and had forgotten about the whole brouhaha until I started reading the notes. As noted in many notes, this is darker and more understated than most WS wines.
