Leo's Blind Tasting Group - June '15 edition (Amali, NYC): Understated and quiet on the nose with suggestions of rainwater over stones, and gentle citrus fruit flavours - but the palate is another story entirely, with intense limes, red fruits, and peach flavours up front, turning more saline and mineral on the back end. There's tremendous acidity here that gives it great lift and finesse, and the overall balance is incredible. It gives the impression that it's holding a bit in reserve, but I get the impression this should be amazing with more time.
LBTG blind - very very brief notes (Amali, NYC): The nose was initially reticent but the palate was WOW. Tropical fruit, minerality, excellent acidity, and a chalky finish that made me guess Saar. My #2 of the flight. Excellent. 92-93.
This seems much younger than six years old and seems to have the stuffing for very long aging. This was absolutely bursting with fruit: green apples, tangerines, lime, white raspberry and mint. Beneath it all is a seam of minerality on the finish and sharp acidity throughout. I could see this being absolutely spectacular as it develops more mature flavors. Paired very well with the saltiness of Easter ham.

I found this Riesling to be creamy with flavors of pear and melon with some lime. It was sweet, a little sweeter than I prefer but it was backed up with good acidity. Very good. RP 97, WS 92
Sweet and complex. Developes a nice minerality with time in the glass. Best on day 4, when the forward fruitiness has given more room for that lovely refreshing minerality and aromatics have become wonderfully complex.
