  • Amazing aromas. Strong eucalyptus notes (unusual for this varietal, but no mistaking it in this bottle) precedes aromas of raspberry, strawberry and plum coated genorously in baking spices with ancillary aromas of black licorice, ginger snap, vanilla and fig.
On the palate red vines, strawberry jam, currant, melted black licorice, fig preserve, wood, vanilla spice, and an underlying spearamint that is sexy and appealing. Fine tannins are well integrated at this point with medium acidity. The finish is long and polished. This wine is in its prime now!

  • Ripe red berry fruit and plum with baking spices. Nice acid and structure. Improved with air.
