(Charles Pain Chinon Cuvée Prestige) Siliceous clay, no maceration, fermentation 28ºC, matured in 40 hl oak vats, 20 years-old. A good red fruit character on the nose here, with a rich depth of fruit perhaps related to the clay terroir? A lovely flesh weight on entry, but a complete, balanced and attractive style. Very supple and certainly appealing. Good.
