Wet forest floor, red and black fruits, earthiness..it had tiny tiny bits of green note but undisturbing. Its ready to drink now but it will stay at this peak for at least 5 years. Would not have guessed its a first growth..
On this night, even after a few hours of decanting, this seemed a little closed. With some more air and swishing, this wine slowly came out of its shell, but just barely. It was full bodied and lush but seemed to lack many tertiary characteristics, it was still very enjoyable though, and I believe some extra bottle age will do it good. All in all, this was well balanced and poised. May geta point or two better in time.

(Chateau Mouton-Rothschild Pauillac) Wow! This has a lovely nose, very exotic, dense and rich in fabulous spiced fruits, with an impressively dark core. Lovely, and very typical of Mouton as well. A beautifully composed palate follows, very elegant with a hint of cream, and a fine ripe structure beneath. The tannins are firm, just poking out a little here despite the full midpalate and wealth of spicy fruit. Delicious, fruit-cream finish, and fabulous length. An excellent wine indeed.
