Took a good hour to reveal dark fruit, violet, plenty of mushroom and forest floor. Bottle might have seen a bit of heat in its life as it wasn’t as bright as I expected.

Magnum Rarities Tasting in Zurich (Zunfthaus zur Waag, Zurich): From 6 liter Methuselah bottle and served as table wine with the food. Ripe, present and youthful. Red berry fruit but also some darker notes, but with dominant green herbs aromatics. The palate is fresh with good density and soft, almost velvety texture.
