This bottle showed distinct nose of petrol and apple. The wine seemed a little tired and not fresh. Maybe at a point in it's development that it is a little awkward? Or could it be it is beyond it's peak?

Light golden straw, white peach nose. Off dry with light acid, medium body, pear and peach fruit, good mouthfeel but needs more acid to balance the rs, but I am an acid junkie. A couple nights later and the acid has presented itself to compliment the sweetness. More of a sipping wine than quaffer, but very good with just a mineral hint to the citrus.

(Long Shadows Wineries Poet’s Leap Riesling) Lemon zest, melon, and stone fruits appear on the nose, followed by a slight creaminess on the palate. A gentle 1.35 grams of residual sugar is balanced perfectly by mouthwatering acidity and a finish with lilies and hints of white pepper. 3,200 cases made. Winery Spotlight: Long Shadows Winery

It is showing the complexity of age. Golden color and very pleasant. Surprisingly good.
