In a perfect place right now - glad I waited (see previous note). Opened to let breathe one hour, and poured. Still has many years of life left, with no secondary notes at all.

I think I drank this too soon. Decanted for 1 hour. Lovely nose, fulsome mid-palate, and long but somewhat tannic finish. Full of flavor but lacking the finesse and complexity associated with Chambolle-Musigny. 2009 was a ripe vintage but I still believe this will improve over the next 2-3 years.

opened about two hours before; then decanted. Was lovely, rich candied fruit, and long mouth feel. I preferred the 2009 Vosne Romanee that we had alongside. Both could use more time. And 2009 was not a fabulous year.

Barrel tasting at JJ Confuron - 2009 line up (Premeaux-Prissey): Barrel sample. Old oak barrel. This is already very seductive; feminine expression, pure, classic chambolle, elegant, and so smooth, that the tannic grip at the very end of a long finish almost comes as a surprise, but just wraps the package in a splendid way. Will go a long way. 89-91

Big. Dark. Fruit. Tannins just right, tasty and developing nicely – a nice wine, but not substantially nicer than several Oregon Pinots I could name.
