Lovely Pinot that is relaxed, very well balanced with a nice lingering finish. Medium body with good acidity, has notes of tart cherry, brown spice, and dusty earth.

Tasted this first at a Marin wine tasting in Larkspur. I was amazed at the number of lovey pinots I had never heard of. Yes the Pey-Marin and Stubs etc were there and quite nice. But there were a dozen other unknown to me that were wonderful. I bought a couple of each and just opened the willobrook with a nice grilled salmon. The wine had nice fruit, restrained a bit, and good balance with a pretty raspberry color. Really nice.

Wonderful expression of the vineyard. This is even better, to my palate, than the 2007 Marin bottling, which is also very good. Tasted this along with others at the MALT tasting of West Marin Pinot Noir at Escalle, which was a real eye opener regarding the special quality of Pinot being produced from Marin County/Pelaluma Wind Gap terroir .
