Decanted about one hour prior to first pour; ruby red, initially a lot of black cherry on both the nose and in the mouth, a little bit of minerality as well. After about another hour, the predominance of the black cherry dissipated and it tasted more balanced, definitely better after the first glass, with a medium finish; probably would have benefited from a longer decant. 4+11+16+7=88

Friends and I tasted this at the winery on 4/14/12. It had an expressive, layered bouquet of black currant, black cherry, toast, sage, spice and mineral aromas. The palate was deep and layered with flavors of black currant, black cherry, mocha, spice and minerals. 91+

I tasted this at Wicked Cellars on 6/17/11. It had a clean, expressive bouquet of spice, black cherry, blackberry, black currant and toast aromas. The palate was medium bodied, well balanced and clean with flavors that followed the nose.
