Deep dark, glass staining eggplant color, dark fruit and boysenberry on the nose, more dark fruit on the palate with a decent amount of mocha and vanilla. This medium bodied baby's solid backbone is framed nicely with mild heat and pronounced tannins. The wine's well integrated acidity presents itself on the rather long finish. Ready to drink now but will probably go another 5 to 7 years on its side.

Decent wine. Lacks a little balance. Certainly not bad, but nothing I'd write home about. Decent Cab to keep around for non wino friends or for evenings where you won't mind letting the last half of the bottle go.

Excellent value cab! Much prefer this effort from Columbia Crest H3 over their Merlot. Popped and poured. Initial aromas of spice, clove and berries. On the palatte it reveals a depth of rich cassis and black cherry flavors. Finishes long with great complexity. Stock up while this is still available - drinks great now, but has promise to develop further for a couple more years.

(Columbia Crest H3 Cabernet Sauvignon Horse Heaven Hills) Lightly aromatic with oak notes at the fore along with dust, and herbal notes. The palate is dry with tacky tannins and paints around the edges. 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc. Aged 14-18 months in French and American oak (40% new). 14.5% alcohol. Tasted twice with consistent notes.

Good value. A little too fruit forward; jammy, spicy.
