Surprised by this wine-- given its from VA (not meant to be an insult). Nice dark garnet hue, light fruit nose, medium bodied, little tart, tastes slightly better with food. Always enjoy wines that are surprisingly good-- as I had no real expectations for this wine.

Nose: a bit sweetness of sweetness coming through with spice notes, cinnamon more than anything, bright cherry and cranberries Palate: very light with good tannin structure, apple peel and jammy red fruit

Williamsburg Winery Tasting (Williamsburg, VA): light purple colored. the nose is reserved, but i can tell there's some stuffing down in there. with some swirling, it came out. its sweet and juicy on the palate with lots of cherries and a peppery finish. a good example of virginia wine done right.

More fruit forward, notes of dark fruit. Well balanced. Drinking well now, but would not cellar for much longer. A nice solid wine

Unfortunately corked. Disappointed because we did like the 2003 and we don't get to Williamsburg that often
