Wine was properly stored from purchase in 1970 until consumed. Excellent port, beautifully preserved. Balanced - not super sweet - style, lovely bouquet, perfect with Colton Basset stilton.

1963-1983 Vintage Ports (Tasted Blind) (Virtual Tasting): Nose: Flawed; Palate: 87
My #8, Group's #9 (124 pts). Tasted blind.
Improved with time in the glass, but definitely past its prime and likely a flawed bottle.

Vinetasters: 2001/2005 Joh. Jos. Prüm (Skokie, IL): Intense sweet cherry and cough syrups notes. The tannins are mostly resolved, but the alcohol is a little bit louder than I generally like.
