The experiment. Age one high-end Rose for 13 years. Open and drink. Brilliant whiskey orange color. Experienced the spice and dried orange peel that others have as well it being fairly oxised. Given the age not unexpected so cannot called it flawed. Merely a flawed concept of overaging a wine best enjoyed in years 1-5.

Not surprisingly, a bit over the hill at this point, with some oxidative notes and the fruit on the palette having given way to some sherried, nutty flavours. The core of melon and strawberry fruit flavours is still there though, and it's interesting to see that at 8 years of age a dry rosé from Tempier can still be very much drinkable (if nonetheless, past its peak).

my last bottle of the '04. initially served too cold; this bottle took a long time to reveal itself, unlike a few years ago. after about 2 hours, and at a much higher temperature (16 degr. celsius) the nose finally revealed the "usual" and exquisite Tempier rosepetal dried flowers, medium bodied with good acidity. When drunk too cold the wine gives merely a "flat" impression.

Took to Rico for a little football action -this is still very nice, and a little smoother with age yet I prefer drinking these younger with more zest and fruit probably best within 18-24 months of release

Filing this under "more interesting than good." It hasn't gone bad, but it's not very enjoyable. Very little fruit - sour orange peel and cinnamon.
