  Nice - exactly as hoped. Medium fruit, well balanced, a touch of brown on the rim, no greenness.

  Drinking nicely, I doubt any further upside albeit the sweet fruit might fade a bit. No rush - next bottle in 2024. Try a 2010 next.
  Good QPR if you like VS's HB style. Echoes of the grand vin. Sweet red fruit with a bit of blue fruit. Best at cellar temp after a few hours in the decanter. Crowd pleasing.

  Very different, and more favorable, impression than my prior bottles.
  
  PnP. 55°. Crimson, not-youthful appearance. Fresh red berry nose. Light medium body, smooth tannins, a little astringency, mild fruit. After an hour (no decant) some wood emerges in nose and palate. Overall, not too complex but nicely balanced and enjoyable.

  This example is better than the last, whatever the reason, though there is still an oaky, coffee signature. Again a slightly candied profile comes through with more griottine than fresh fruit, though there was an appealing if subtle perfume. Still, not something I would chase.
