Decanted 2hrs, hit its stride 1hr later. Dinner of ribeye and grilled mushrooms, baked potato. True Grenache pepper, with red berry of Syrah. A little licorice and iron to my nose. Maybe a bit more pepper than terroir on finish, but the smoother tannins after decanting made this an above average drinker with the marbled ribeye. Not going to match a big Cali cab with the steak, and my Bordeaux needed some time in cellar. But delicious enough. Decant 3 hrs and enjoy a hearty CndP look alike.
Didn't show well following a 2003 Pegau, but went back to it the next day and could appreciate it's charm. Could use some more time in the cellar to gain complexity but offered a good earthy nose and ample cherry and fruit.
