  • This was half bottle, spending 10 days in the fridge. It was probably higher at the onset, but this rating is for longevity. If you told me this was tondonia reserva or Musar I would absolutely believe it. Seems to go forever. Still some salt, wax, nice fullness and even low background acidity. All combined with beautiful sweetness. Amazing after 10 days open bottle.

  • Good white CdP-a marathon runner, gaining complexity, but not weight. Needs some air and only light chilling. Slight minerality and saltiness in the background

  • This is from their website from July 2020 vertical

(62% Roussanne, 26% Grenache Blanc, 12% Picpoul Blanc): Nice richness on the nose, honey and lacquered wood, nectarine and white flowers, with a sweet green note like newly cut grass. On the palate, both fruity and yeasty: imagine pineapple upside down cake, but dry. Tremendous texture. Lingering flavors of honeycomb and candied orange peel, enlivened by fresh green herbs on the long, focused finish. A great showing for this wine, which like the 2007 I often found in its youth so dense that it was easier to admire than love.

For me it certainly isn’t heavy. After months of burgundies I was craving for somewhat less acidity and more butter. This hits the spot. If you like the white CdP this is certainly a nice relatively light version, entering its secondary stage.

Day two and it loses some fruit, turning more into Tondonia-like white. I think this means it has good 5 years on this plateau. Good.

  • A lovely, balanced and mature summer white. Was amazing with both a dijon vinagrette on our salad as well as red snapper en papillote. Full flavored, still showing good acidity and long finish.
