Terroir-istes International - Australia-South Australia (Overgaauw Wine Estate): Mid yellow with a nose of ripe stone fruit, oatmeal, a 'big' nose, some development but there is plenty going on. The palate is fairly streamlined with bright acidity, cling peach, apricot halves, and age coming through with honeycomb. There is a mid-palate chalkiness or sherbet fizz to it. As the wine opens some washed stone and mineral although the richness of a marmalade undertone persists throughout.

Very good aged Chardonnay - this was an aged released wine from the vineyard ie stored in ideal conditions plus screw cap all helps Colour lemon green clear and bright 15/15 Nose slightly muted nose but elegant all the same 27/30 Palate medium to full intensity ,beautifully balanced and super silky long finish 41/44 Overall I do like an aged Chardonnnay , still hard to believe this one is 7yo , still plenty of life left in this wine 10/11

Rather bolshy despite it's age with peachy fruit, butter and toasty notes as well as sweet spices. Still quite fresh and a touch rambunctious. Time here I think.

Christmas supper with the Wine Ark boys (Fix St. James, 111 Elizabeth Street, Sydney): Buttery and rich, peachy fruit with Asian five spice notes. In the mouth it's big, juicy and fleshy with a little tannic grip on the mid palate. Long. Bolshy. Tangy Good.
