Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of matchstick, orange peel and nutmeg. Flavors of tangerine, lime and minerals. Bright acidity, full bodied. Drink or hold.

My first impression while tasting the wine blind was that this was a very good premier cru Burgundy with its full treatment. Oak in good measure, buttery, white fleshed fruit. It had everything. Once I saw the label I detected a candied fruit not necessarily sweet but still candied that changed my perception and I could not see the wine as a Burgundy anymore. A very good Chardonnay with aromas and flavor, balanced oak and length on the palate.

Drank alongside 4 off-Burgundy top chards this was the clear winner. A youthful lemon yellow color. Same impression on the nose: citrus fruit, green apple, roasted almonds. Very youthful and vibrant. Medium to full-bodied with bright acidity and a very long aftertaste. Surprisingly fresh and elegant with still a long way to go. Really loved this!

popped and poured. Drank alongside a 2006. Heavy handed oak dominates. Fruit beginning to fade. All in all it was so so. Would drink these up soon.
