  • Losing a bit of complexity, but still pretty solid.

  • From magnum.
    Clear.
Clean. Youthfull still, med+ intensity on the nose, but it's a dense and with a massive concentration. Lots of red berries, forest berries. Same floral touches and lightness as the M. Sorrel. Complex.
Very well balanced on the palate, seems lighter than what you'd think from the nose. Though after a little time notes of meatiness and it gains a heavier presense, that seems more developed than the first impression. Med+ tannins, ripe and fine, you can feel them, but balanced. Med acidity, but still remains balanced.
    Good length on the finish.

  • In a good spot after 15 years, really solid texture, tannins still present that provide that gritty texture and add to the mouthfeel of the wine. Fruit still solidly present and good secondary flavors. Enjoyable wine.

  • Medium dark red. Nose of strong matchstick, oak, stewed plums. Wonderfully balanced mediumtannin and acid. Flavors are fairly mute, some vague fruit and herbs but oh the promise in a few years. Finishes with surprising length and tannin. This one is just starting to emerge from a prolonged syrah dead zone, but seems built well for drinking in another four years. Bottle #2 of four.

  • Deep, deep center, pale red rim (little sign of age).
Blackberries and smoked bacon, rosemary, earth.
Smooth, glycerine, plums, alcohol, blackberries, aged fruit, a little acid and tannin on the finish, great length.
Outstanding wine and doubly outstanding for the price. Drinking well now, but would last 5 more years.
