I so want to give this a higher score, it's Xmas and it's the time for giving but it just isn't pushing any of the buttons to get it into the late 8's or even 9's.
It wasn't blessed when we opened it as we were looking for a pairing for a turkey roast and that's no easy thing. Anyhow, light body, light viscosity, good acidity and a distinct chocolate taste. Perhaps I left this a little long but this isn't a wine I am going to come back to or stick on the wishlist..

Quite internationally-styled: dark, smoky, and peppery --- really, this reminded me of many CA Syrah I’ve had; very oaky; low acidity. Needs time yet, but I’m not sure it will really *improve* so much as it should soften-out a bit. Hold. Drink 2015 – 2020.

Black cherries on the nose promise a lot more than this wine has to offer on the palate. Mild acidity overpowers most of the other flavours present - a bit if s dissapointment.

First sip was very enjoyable, then it became very sweet with notes of plum and cherry that were too sweet to enjoy for more than 1 glass.
