  Quite stern and austere although the fruit is still quite fresh (strawberry). Long and with some fine tannin and grip on the finish. Nose is beautifully florally perfumed. I think this has the structure and fruit to improve. Not sure it quite has enough energy though. Will throw the dice and try my last one in 5 years from now. 4-

  Fine wine. All the characteristics of barolo with age (prune, menthol, balsamic, tar, mushroom). Fine structure with acidity and tannins supporting harming alcohol. Lack of mid-palate fruit weight, some earthy flavors lingering. Somehow, it felt a tired wine. Drink now, perhaps past peak?

  Seriously flawed bottle. Color of prune juice, barnyard aromas, no structure or acidity and totally shot.
  
  Just goes to show that you never know when a wine hits 20 years old or so.
  
  Another bottle drank a year ago and purchased at the same time was worth a 93 rating....

  Medium/deep garnet, pale garnet rim. Gently spicy, quite dark-fruited, medium/full bodied, a touch surly and tannic at the end.
