  • I agree this is a little disjointed. Not much on the nose and the balance between acidity, fruit and tannins seems to be off, with the acidity the dominating component. Not much of a finish, but paired well with sausage and onion pizza. Overall a little disappointing even for an entry level Barbaresco.

  • Disjoint wine, bit clunky in the mid-palate, with slightly astringent back-bone and bit of heat in the finish. Drinks more like an inexpensive generic langhe. Kept thinking that if someone in California tried to craft a barbaresco, this is probably what it would taste like. Yes, there is absolutely a hint of a beautifully ethereal ripe fruit, but getting to it just not worth the effort. Some wines should be re-tasted in a few years-- not this one -- move on. C

  • Medium body, "cool" and mineralic palate, still young and rather restrained, should be better in a few more years
