  Rich and integrated on the palate, tannins very present. Savoury.
  Really long on the finish with mouth-puckering tannin and acidity.
  A power wine, and the tannins are noticeably more chunky (without being excessively so) than more recent vintages, although this is still a very tannic cuvée.

  Rather overwhelmed by alcohol on this showing. On a previous occasion I noted that it improved a lot with air and then food so perhaps that’s what’s missing here.

Ok acidity and bitterness. A tasty and very mature wine. (The person who brought the bottle, opened another one the weekend after and that bottle was much fresher and less mature, so this evenings’ bottle was probably an off bottle. So no score.
