Similar experience to DFCrutcher. Great bottle and perfect with thanksgiving. The cherry fruit was still going great with some nice power and a medium finish.

Quite stunning. When I pull out 20-year old California pinots, it ordinarily constitutes a cellaring mistake. Not this time. Cork was almost pristine - bottom third red-infused; top third like new. Decanted for half an hour. No bricking on the wine - solution was crystal clear with medium transparency. Deep black cherry fruit on the palate that carried all the way through the finish. Almost wish I'd have waited another 10 years just for fun. Ignore my comment on this wine in 2015.

dark red, faint pinot nose which expanded over an hour of airtime. Dense rich dark cherry and blackberry fruit with a bit of spice on palate. Beautifully smooth with a very long finish. Purchased at winery at release and first bottle we opened. Great wine in great condition for drinking now. Served with delicious lamb stew.

A really terrific Pinot that held its own. I bought a bottle at auction that I thought was a 2013. Turned out to be a 2003 but this bottle was still in great shape. Cork disintegrated but everything else on the bottle had those wonderful secondary notes of leather, red fruit, and spice box. Great bottle. Sadly, my lone bottle. I have some 2010 that I will open soon based on this tasting. I love everything I have ever tasted made by Rochioli!

Light red in color. 14.2% ABV. Gorgeous nose of red fruits, cloves, sarsaparilla and forest floor. Light to medium body with tremendous acidity. Delicate and ethereal. Bing cherry, cranberry, minerals and mushrooms on the palate. The finish is perfection. Just about as good as Russian River Valley Pinot Noir gets. Drink over the next 1-2 years.
