Grapemates with Jon Mk.2: White florals, line, spices and pine. Acid is quite piercing initially, but after a few sips it doesn't feel as dominating. The fruit is quite delicate but what is there is pleasant. Obviously hadn't hit its straps yet, but it is on the first step to get there.
nose:lime,citrus acid,hint of honey n fresh green herbs,wet stone,orange skin
palate:bracing acidity,focus,tite,stunning texture,superb mineral,perfect intensity with savoury finishing n citrus acid
conclusion:its been almost 3 yrs.tis bttl refuse bow to age.the body of the wine show amazing elegance due to the tightness of the wine.lean but mean.the acidity of tis bttl simply keeps the wine at its youth.hw i wish i hve a time machine to c hw it progress with time.for the time being, those tat own tis vintage,do resist temptation of opening tis bttl.i reckon your patience wil b rewarded in 6-8 yrs time
All class (as expected). Zippy cut grass and minerals but all very balanced and well contained. No obvious aged character but tending towards 'mellow'. Just a touch of spice to finish. Drink now for mine.
not completely integrated yet. tremendous acidity along with a Bordeaux-like waxiness typical of Semillon. This bottle perhaps lack some fruit. Or at 12 years was just too young? A really old bottle, say 20-25 years, would be an interesting wine!
