Eric's Birthday at La Vigna: last bottle...paging Nicos..thank you again brother! this is just excellent. notes that combine Madeira and PX sherry to a T. Figs, dates on the nose with that touch of acidity that Madeira gets. rich dry fruit in the middle, sweet but at the same time light and refreshing - more so than any PX. nutty finish that just keeps going. excellent.
Tuesday at the Papies (The Papies, London): Wine has a madeira style indestructability and after 1 month post opening keeps on going. Lots of mocha notes and feels like an old madeira. Still very enjoyable, albeit not as fresh as straight on opening. Cyprus be proud..

Pale redish colour almost like an old wine. Sweet but not overly sweet well rounded. Raisin taste all over (made with semi dried grapes). Very nice. Cyprus wine making at its best. Did i mention this is the oldest continuously made wine in the world?
