Dark reddish purple in color, medium weight, distinctive red and black fruit flavors. Served with pasta and meat sauce. Excellent wine for a casual dinner.

The Southern Rhone varietals give this wine an inky color and licorice nose, which belie the light weight and tart red fruit flavors (sour cherry?) that accompany a little blackberry and oak. The combination of dark fruit qualities and light weight would make this an excellent companion to grilled meats or dried sausage.

With Spagetti, homemade sauce, and meatballs.
Nice straightforward, dry, clean, medium body, fruit and tannin wine, with good finish.
Worked well, drank after dinner.
Note to self: buy more. Open and drink same. Do NOT over analyze - enjoy.
