Quite good actually, especially at the price point of $11 on sale. This was tasted over 2 nights, with 1/3 being sampled the first night and the remaining 2/3 the following evening after being refrigerated. The below notes are from night two unless otherwise noted.
Quite a joy that it is so textbook Sonoma Cabernet at this price point, with a lovely interplay of black currant, juicy cherry, a dash of toast and even a little herbal note mid-palate through the finish. Definitely more length and complexity than a $11 wine should have, although it does ride the razor's edge with tannin which may be off-putting to some. Characteristics from the 1st night are a clipped version of the above, with tannin more dominant. If I had to rate it on the 1st night alone, it would be in the 84-85 range.
At this stage in it's life decant for an hour or so, or just hold on to them for another year or two. Cellar them past 3 years at your own risk, at some point the tannin is going to rule the day. For now, a refreshingly Cabernet tasting Cabernet from Kenwood.

The wine is past it's prime. It tasted astringent.

By no means offensive, and food-ready. At this price, hard to complain.
