Best bottle of this yet; deeply purple colored, heavy red fruit nose showing excellent purity and minerality too; just the slightest hint of a menthol "coolness" to it. Huge extract and ample acidity. As usual, one could never predict what longevity this styled wine might have though it certainly now shows 8-10 years younger than it is.

After several corked bottles on previous tries: very concentrated and extracted; deep, dark and delicious (even if not my style). I've always said wines from P-M always seem to me as having been "made, not grown".

Light velvet colour. Mature nose with lovely ripe strawberry fruit, leather, sous bois, earth. Good ripe fruit but rather intrusive dry tannins and wood. Nice finish. Retry in 2 yrs to see if wood integrates?

Starts out a little woody and awkward, with time it integrates nicely with the wood taking a back step and letting a really lovely floral perfume and bright red fruited flavours emerge. Very enjoyable.

Still a very youthful, fresh and raw fruited wine. Much better, relaxed wine on day 2.
