This is a beautiful chardonnay, so balanced and deft. Theres no edge or bite, and not over-oaked. There is a lovely saline, mineral texture. So polished and refined. Not that concentrated, it's arguably a bit simple and lacking in complexity but it's still really appealing.
Wow has this wine blossomed! Everyone's favorite wine of the night by a solid margin. More white burg than Cali butter in style. Loads of rich citrus fruits, but some honeydew melon and beautifully layered with some minerals and a perfect acitity balance
Opened last weekend. At that time the wine had a slight rotten egg or sulpher odor way in the background, but still a nice wine. I put in a vacuvin and refrigerated it for a week. The odor was totally gone and the wine evolved incredibly. Lovely aromas of toasted marshmallow, vanilla and honeysuckle. The wine has just the right amount of oak to compliment the mouthwatering acidity and minerality combined with stone fruit and butterscotch! This wine should cellar a couple more years at least. If you drink now, realize it will change from the first day open and for the better.
