Monday Night Bordeaux (Hawksmoor, Guildhall): Proof that even modest Bordeaux can age with the best of them and end up very attractive for it. This was really good, easily keeping pace with the big boys. Sweet fruit, fully resolved tannins, quite charming and an excellent wine with which to finish the reds. If you see some, snap it up, this punched well above its weight.

Monday night Bordeaux (Hawksmoor Guildhall): Something of an underdog on paper, this sharp, characterful wine really shone and I enjoyed it very much. Attractively sweet on the nose, and lots going on in the mouth: green and truffley, some cherry fruit and a juicy finish, its fruit and its spiky, tertiary qualities beautifully integrated. Kept going back for more!

Color: deep purple red with shades of brown Nose: casis, tobacco, cherry, syrup Palate: deep rich red fruits, very little tannins, wet earth, medium finish, slightly over the hill Smooth and round wine- finish is a bit short for what I expected 85/100

Guter Naturkorken. Ein wenig bäuerlich, aber gut. Eher kurzer Abgang. Komplex mit mehr Luft.Um 88 bis 89 Punkte. Bis 2025+ Keller Jochen D.

Quite delicious. Clear claret. Would have been better if had more depth, but still lots of enjoyable life. Better 2 hours after decant.
