Next to last bottle of a bakers dozen. Drinking beautifully here. Rosella's is really showing. Nice big fruit - a bit opulently purple. Secondary nuances are standing out but are more wet wood than it is truffle and sophisticated scents. Still a great wine and an amazing QPR.

Unlike a previous bottle only three months ago, this one displayed a bunch of Syrah characteristics. On the lighter side (OK by me), it showed red fruits and a whole lot of minerals, garrigue, etc. Tasted blind, I would have guessed St. Joseph. Probably time to drink up.

Raspberries and a little bramble on the nose and the palate. Medium body, at most, a lighter style (which is fine by me). Solid finish. No pepper, grilled meat, or bacon fat, so, in a blind tasting, I might have guessed Cabernet Franc. Nice wine but it may be slightly past its peak. Probably good for no more than another year or so.

Medium dark color. Black raspberries and a little bramble on the nose. Same on the palate, but it had a "hole in the middle". No pepper, bacon fat, or grilled meats, and I would have been hard pressed to identify it as a Syrah in a blind tasting. Terrific finish, however, with the raspberries and hints of Indian and/or Middle Eastern spices.

Needs some air time still for tannins to unfold and fruit to push forward but drinks well at thirty minutes.
