PNP. FFP. Dark red and black fruit, some sweetness, flowers, dirt and perhaps some coffee. Nicely done at this price point. Contary to others, I think this has room to improve with some age. If scoring 89-91,

Pretty black raspberry infused cocoa bean 'are' the nose. Hints of sassafras and spring flowers with some brashness and bramble. The palate reflects those sentiments x2. Black cassis with cola join in. Its youth evident and a glass I poured through the Vinturi went rounder and plusher, but here I give you the true gen. Some mid-palate drying but not distracting, this has a big full mouth feel with acidity that rides a wee-bit high and tannins somewhat chunky (It worked well with an array of Italian antipasto). Let's be clear, this will not make you shave a patch on your head and exclaim you are ‘drinking the stars’, but approached from the correct angle you will certainly like it---a lot. There is some notes of buttered popcorn that dissipate with the Vinturi. Finish goes long.

Wine is still young - will wait a few years before opening the other bottle.

Heavy scent of burnt toast and vanilla, then cherry. Unusual but enjoyable wine. Ready to drink now.
