Another great example of how Paul Draper makes age-worthy, relatively low alcohol and complex zin-based wines. Beautiful dark red cherry color. Rich, ripe nose of berries and baking spices. The palate yields multi-layered fruits and spices. Perfect balance. A very sophisticated wine that is much better at age 13 than at anytime sooner. Delicious!
W sunday night sausage/sauerkraut/potatoes. Great dinner. What is it with the Geyservile-s? This is bland and not unlike the 2003 we had friday before. The cork came out great and nose was much better than the 03. On palate not much different. Is it tart blueberry juice? I dont know. Conclusion;drink yr geyserviless within 7 yrs.
