  • Bouche un peu effacée, clémentine, mangue. Pas de gras ni de sucrosite mais au contraire une certaine astringence sur la langue. Plus intéressant qu’hypnotisant.

  • Almost as good as the previous bottle.
It didn't quite hold up in the glass as long as the previous bottle, suggesting that it's just slightly past its peak.
Still absolutely brilliant with intense Gewurztraminer character and loads of complexity

  • A memorable wine...i'm not sure that I would expect more from a Gewurztraminer than this wine delivered.
Yes, it is starting to show its age after 29 years, but that is not a problem. Golden hue at this time but brilliant. Intense spicy nose with roses and lychee all in elegance not flamboyant. Moreover, this is one of the few dry Gewurztraminer wines you will find. The balance is exquisite will no astringency but enough structure to hang on to the aromas for all this time and enough acidity to keep it lively. Long, lingering finish. It will not get better, so I will drink the remaining two bottles over the next couple of years.
