Smells of baked apple, biscuit and lemon curd. It has tiny bead and a creamy mousse and is very fresh in the mouth. There's richness but it remains airy and light with tany citrus cut to the finish.

Fresh nose of bakers yeast, citrus blossom and orchard fruits. It is full and creamy in the mouth with good detail and pinpoint bead. It finishes with good cut and is very persistent.

This was tasted beside about 12 other bottles of Special Club Champagnes and this was easily my least favorite. I would also say it was one of the least favorite of the groups as well. I agree with DBP's description, this was worryingly 'tired', which is surprising considering the age.

Nutty and creamy aromas. The palate is creamy, lush, showing some wet leafs and as it's held on the palate it develops quite funky and gnarly notes. Wow, really funky on the finish. Kind of off putting. Kind of feels like it's losing its stuffing, which would be surprising at this young age.
