The wine looks Purple colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Strawberry, Raspberry, and Cherry. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Satin-like texture. The wine finishes Long. John and Christine's wine. My GO TO PINOT NOIR. Always great.

Big, concentrated, red fruit up front, with some herbs and spice on the back end. This was tasty, but a bit heavier than I normally prefer in a Pinot. I think I actually prefer the lower priced Sun, as it's a bit less extracted and seemed more complex. I haven't tried them both from the same vintage though. Plus, this bottle might have shown more with a bit more time and/or decanting.

Dinner Party @ Home (Costa Brava, 11 Island Avenue, #412): - Purple color with fast forming legs and aromas of raspberry, strawberry and violet. It's in total harmony and has flavours of raspberry and strawberry with a medium/full body. Juicy texture with a long finish.

P-n-P, this wine had a rather amazing nose of pomegranate and strong black tea. The back end was really quite earthy and herbal, but the nose was very expressive overall. In 2 hours a red cherry scent also appeared, and I am sure if the bottle has lasted, it would have become more pronounced.
The wine has a great deal of density to it, something I do not always note in wines, but do always find in wines made by Paul Lato. More pomegranate and herbs coming through here on the palate. The juice/fruit component seems big, but not overpowering. At the 2 hour mark, I am getting some more dark fruit like blueberry or cherry.
This bottle was really great throughout the evening, a great SRH pinot that while featuring fruit first, does not let itself get out of control.
