At Wine Group Dinner #199 DRC Richebourg Vertical, Harvey's Bistro. This was last tried by our group in 2015 and the colour had changed little remaining a pale green gold colour. The bouquet was much more forthcoming wit classic white peach, lemon drop and spearmint characters with touches of white flowers and rain on limestone. The palate was generous and full of rich fruit characters balanced by touches of honey and intense minerality. There is plenty of drive and grip here with ensures purity and balance in this still very young wine. This is a Montrachet for the ages.

PYCM time; 11/2/2022-11/3/2022 (Noize): Super pure and precise, showing none of the heat/size of the vintage. Very intellectual wine. Yes it's exceptionally expensive, but it's also exceptionally precise and deep.

Surprisingly open and evolved, very little of that PY reduction left. The nose is rich, ripe as you'd expect from the vintage, but fresh. Lovely intensity and matiere on the palate, this is where this wine shines. Bright acidity, lovely integration and superb balance. Very good length without being spectacular. I kept coming back to this wine as the evening went on and it was just consistently doing it's thing. Very delicious.

From magnum, this was infanticide. In this format it's at least 15 years from showing its stuff. Tonight it was a taut, coiled spring of tension and minerality. So tight, a lot of material here for the future.
