Lovely, and doing very well with a short decant. Started drinking it at cellar temp and then it warmed up and sat for a few hours. Very good with dinner.

Lovely authentic modest barolo. Floral, delicate, menthol and herbal notes, sour-sweet cherry fruit, alluring aroma of rose petals, fine integrated tannins. Medium-bodied, medium length. Very satisfying.

Splendidly spicy bouquet, great grippy tannins, sour cherry core, peppery finish, long, fresh and lean. Secondary aromas of molasses, treacle, a touch of liquorice, figs and Finnish smoke sauna. Not bad - a pretty serious wine. After a while, the wine gets even better, showing considerable complexity - white pepper, cloves, cassia bark, allspice and grilled barbecue meats. And after a couple of hours it becomes unfeasibly porty and figgy, suggesting that decanting this wine is to be recommended. Very very good.

Very open and drinkable. Not very big for a serralunga Barolo.
