blind side by side with Togni 1988 Maybe the only "disappointing" flight. Both a bit broad, missing elegance and finesse. Fruit lack and short in length. 92

Wow, what a flavor: tobacco, raspberry, some dried plums and earthy notes. Still very fine acidity which carries the wine. This bottle was definitely in its peak and luckily I got some more bottles left. Enjoy this beauty now !

Not showing any signs of its 34 years of age. Huge amount of sweet raspberry and strawberry fruit. Some licorice and eucalyptus on the nose. Fresh acidity behind the overt sweetness. Very fine tannins. Would have liked to see a bit more complexity but very enjoyable.

(Chateau Musar) Bricking medium dark red violet color with pale meniscus; mature, complex, anise, dried berry, chocolate, fig nose with a potpourri of spices; very tasty, chocolate, fig, anise, dried berry palate with fabulous spices; medium-plus finish
(Chateau Musar) Dark red orange color with pale meniscus; brett, rich, mature plum, berry and tart berry nose; tasty, mature tart berry and fig palate; medium-plus finish
(Chateau Musar) Gorgeous sexy nose of violets, roses, lavender, leather, and trufle; gorgeous, silky palate, like a '90 Rayas, of kirsch and tart cherry, sous bois, horseradish; long finish (great with elk meatloaf)
(Chateau Musar) Nose was deep and layered. Pomerolian with intense red fruits, barnyard, mint, tea and some currants. Nose was amazing. The palate was one of the most concentrated Musars I have ever had. Perfectly delineated and ripe with gorgeous purity and length. The whole package and then some.

Over the hill. Slighly sunken cork may have had impact on the wine.
