  • Still drinking very well. Displays a very light color that worried me a bit for just a 15 year old wine but apparently was not indicative of the state of the bottle. Very nice notes of smoke, earth, a bit of tar on the nose in a classic giveaway of Burgundy. Still displays some present fruit elements which round out the earthy terroir, with raspberry being the most dominant. Medium length finish but held up very well over about an hour+ undecanted. I'd definitely say drink within, say, five years but no rush. Surprised me to the upside.

  • Drinking really well and open right off the cork pull. Some musty funk which blew off quickly. Then, lots of rich pinot fruit backed by a good spine of acidity. Not very complex but full bodied, satisfying and versatile with food.

  • This wine is so complex, so subtle (yet powerful) and versatile, a gem - Dark, well concentrated with notes of cherry, earth, spices, cloves and oak on the nose, extremely well structured, controlled tannins, very smooth with great length (94 Points).

  • Just a lovely Burgundy - Brick red/purple in the centre, branching out to amber in colour, full bodied with notes of clove, flowers, cherry fruit, earth and vanilla on the nose, well structured with noticeable tannins on the palate, complex with a lengthy finish (91 Points).

  • Wow, we loved this Burg - It was red, with an amber rim, concentrated with notes of earth, spice, flowers and fruit on the nose, very complex, balanced and perfect with the veal shanks (it was better than the Ascheri Barolo that came after) (91 Points).
