  Odd.... this bottle seems at the right sort of balance for drinking. Hot-climate smells of herbs and fruit. Nice dusty bouquet. Bit of acetone. Slightly animally. Sois bois. Well put together, but lacking complexity. I've had four of these now, and each has - in its own way - been a slight disappointment. A bit like Bandol in character, but not as wild. Even a bit like Struma valley reds, but more feminine. Lacking minerally interest, and that special "lifted" something that inhabits good Burgundy and Spatburgunder. Maybe it's strawberries I'm missing; just specificity: too broad and heavy? All frustratingly earthbound and prosaic whatever the reason. (89+)

  Lovely smells on opening this. Deep and vegetal and lots of dark ripe fruit. Promising indeed. Still young and in need of considerable age. Perhaps a bit diffident. Perfect balance though. Delicious - in a youthful way. Probably my previous note is correct, and this wants a heck of a long cellartime before it's really giving up the complexity that's implicit. Perhaps somewhere just shy of 90 points for drinking now. Perhaps nudging 90. Future - probably higher. Maybe considerably. This is not familiar territory for me.
