Had before and I loved it but I bought it again & used my new vinturi w/ it & it smoothed out the wine beautifully & brought out even more of the flavor notes

On the nose this rustic wine has a slight hint of licorice with plum, blueberry and blackberry as well. The palate has flavors of dark ripe berries and cedar kindling burning on a campfire. It has a good mouth feel that seems to be sprinkled with nutmeg and a short but pleasant finish. A nice pairing with French Onion Soup.

Really, I think Raven's Wood has the supermarket wine category cornered. Solid value. Good acidity, some oak. Plums. I am steadily building a trust towards Raven's Wood to deliver.

Good for the price ($7 - $8), like pretty much all of the Ravenswood wines. Nice plum on the palate, decent acidity, works well as a Wednesday dinner accompaniment.

Not bad for the price. Lots of oak on the nose, but not hugely overly oaked in flavor. Plum, soy, with a decent acidity.
