A testament to old school Faiveley. This has held up quite well, but is more firm than you'd like. Fruit is fading, though full of nice earth and mushroom complexity. Good, but I'd drink up

good but not as good as i had hoped, this almost tasted like a 30-40 year old barolo, good reddish fruit with very good acidity and spicyness, almost would have benefitted from a dash of sweetness to compliment the acidity and spicyness of the fruit, good density of flavor on the palate and really nice, aged smoothness, secondary notes etc, but just felt like something missing from making this outstanding

Comes across fully mature with a wonderful savoury fragrance of earth, sous bois, leather and saline/umami notes around a core of gentle red and dark fruited flavours. Seamless on the palate, very polished and graceful with the tannins and oak beautifully integrated and it's drinking superbly now.

Drinking extremely well (from a well-kept bottle). Currently at peak.

Peter Pratt's Offline: Notes from Burgundy Table #1 (plus notes on some other wines): Nicely mature and resolved. Tea, earth and soft red fruit on nose. Soft, smooth and pretty on the palate and although I don't think this wine has much future left it is drinking very well right now.
